Pioneer’s Mustang Way

Pioneer’s Mustang Way Core Values are Respect, Inclusiveness, Flexibility, Listening and Open-Mindedness. Each value helps to create a school culture of trust, collaboration, and belonging. When a teacher or staff member notices a student displaying a Mustang Way value, they can nominate them for an award. Each award includes the specific effort put forth by the student to improve Pioneer’s high school community experience. Giving recognition in the five core values changes students’ mindset and empowers them to better themselves and enrich their interactions with fellow students and teachers. At the conclusion of each school quarter, students (and their parents) are then notified of the student’s nomination and invited to a Mustang Way Lunch celebration with the Principal.
