Counseling 1:1 Meetings

After each grading period (every 6 weeks), counselors review student grades. Any student with two or more D/F grades will have a 1:1 meeting with their assigned counselor to discuss strategies for improving grades, communicating with teachers, and any concerns the students have. At this time counselors may also discuss the option of credit recovery depending on needs.

Credit Recovery

Students receiving a failing grade or grade below C- in a course may repeat the course for credit. Eligible credit recovery courses are offered through San José Unified summer school, Edgenuity, or outside courses that are on the University of California A-G Course List. Students should consult their counselor before signing up for credit recovery classes.
